Is ABCmouse really free for Public Libraries, and if so, How long will it be free?

  • It is Completely free for Libraries and will continue to be free

Can I use ABCmouse from Home?

  • The ABCmouse Service that we provide is only available in the library at the moment, and any personal device that is used, needs the Libraries WIFI to work.

Can I Create an Account to keep Progress for my Child?

  • Yes, you can Create a Personal Account, you will need to register yourself as the Parent and then proceed to add your Childs Information, you can add up to 3 Children per account.
  • There is a Student Homepage where your Kids can learn and also a Parent Password Protected Homepage where you can Track Progress, Customize Settings, Update Your Account info, Etc.

How do Patrons Use ABCmouse in the Library?

  • Patrons can use ABCmouse in your library by accessing one of the available Kids Computers/Workstations. It will Already Be on the ABCmouse Homepage where they can continue as guest or you can sign-up/sign-in to your personal account.

What Subjects or Activities does ABCmouse have to offer?

  • Reading/Writing. Math. Social Studies, Science/Health and Music/Art.
  • Activities: Reading Books/Stories, Watching Videos and Games/Puzzles



We are seeing this error message on our Library account: “This account can’t be logged into with a mobile device.”

  • You will need to download the ABCmouse app from the App Store on all your mobile devices and log in once on each device. From there, the patrons should be able to access within the library.

Does ABCmouse.com for Libraries work on tablets and smartphones?

  • Yes, ABCmouse.com for Libraries works on iPads, Android tablets, and many smartphones, especially those with larger screens. All that is needed is your Libraries WIFI.
  • To enable ABCmouse on a device, download the free ABCmouse.com Early Learning Academy mobile app from your device’s App Store. This will create an ABCmouse.com icon on the tablet’s home screen.

What is the Difference between a "Guest Account" and a "Personal Account?

  • With a Guest Account, users select an avatar and choose a child's age, guests accounts do not save a child's progress once they log out. Personal Accounts enable users to save their child's progress when their session ends, allowing them to resume their progress when they return to the Library.

Does my ABCmouse account created through the library expire?

  • You will have continuous access to your ABCmouse account as long as your library is registered with ABCmouse.com.
